Our elementary Montessori program goes up to the 6th grade. At the time a child enters 1st grade, he is also naturally entering a new plane of development. Again his environment is prepared to accommodate and encourage him to extend himself both socially and academically. The language, math, science, culture, and other subject areas are expanded to both satisfy and challenge his curiosity about the world at large. The elementary child’s discoveries come through experience with the Montessori materials, and research. As is true at every level of a Montessori education, the right lessons are presented to the child at the right times. The seeds of this method of education fall on the fertile ground of developmental readiness and blossom into knowledge.
